Laniarius

Laniarius, named for the club’s symbol, Laniarius atrococcineus – the Crimson-breasted Shrike, is BirdLife Northern Gauteng’s newsletter/magazine. Laniarius is published three times a year (March, July, November) and features members’ accounts of their birding highlights on BLNG outings and camps as well as their own travels and everyday lives. News and interesting information about bird conservation, research, biology and behaviour is also shared.

Laniarius is distributed to members in electronic form only

Contributions in the form of short or long articles in either English or Afrikaans, photo essays and single photos are all welcome, and should be submitted to laniariuseditor@blng.co.za.

Advertising space can be purchased in one or more issues. The committee reserves the right not to place a particular advertisement.
