BirdLife Northern Gauteng is excited to be hosting well-known bird expert, illustrator and guide, Geoff Lockwood, for a two day theoretical and practical course on Introductory Bird Identification. If you’re new to birding, birds can be difficult to identify at various stages during the year and Geoff will provide us with valuable information and tips on what to observe in order to make a positive identification. Learn how to consider important elements such as the size of birds, their shape and other identification aspects such as bill size and colour. The main bird families will be shown in order to differentiate birds and place them into the group they belong.
